Fire Headquarters Parking Lot Renovation
The Middlebury Volunteer Fire Department parking lot, and apron
surfaces are finally being repaved. Standing water, potholes, and cracked
surfaces have plagued the department's parking lot for several years. Over
the past three years the department has requested that this work
be approved, and finally work on this sorely needed project has been started.
Upon completion, the parking surfaces will be re-graded for better water
flow, areas to facilitate snow removal will be added, and options for future
upgrades will be provided for.

crack running the entire width, as well as several smaller cracks. The front
apron was patched by Chief Perrotti last year as a temporary fix due to
large dips and cracks. |

In an effort to keep the firehouse running efficiently for years to come,
the direct burial wires are being replaced with wires run through conduit.
This will help prevent electrical shorts and last longer, as well as being
safer should the lot need to be dug up years down the road. |
